EYG joins Glass and Glazing Federation - bringing extra peace of mind to all of our customers
2nd November 2022
EYG has become one of a handful of home improvement firms in the region to join the Glass and Glazing Federation – the body responsible for overseeing and upholding strict industry standards.
The GGF is the UK’s leading authority on advising local and national policy, and upholds industry standards, as well as providing a safety net to customers by resolving any consumer issues between installers and their clients.
In joining the GGF, EYG has gone through stringent vetting and financial health checks - supplying accounts, as well as health and safety accreditations and policies.
The GGF recommends that all consumers who are looking to buy home improvement products chooses to buy from a GGF-approved member, which brings a host of benefits.
EYG’s Managing Director Nick Ward said: “As a company that was established over 50 years ago, we are thrilled to have joined the industry’s leading organisation that oversees standards, monitors and shapes national policy, and offers technical support and advice to member companies and their customers.
“This is another reason to choose EYG, as it means customers have the support of the GGF when buying from a GGF member, which should bring even greater peace of mind in dealing with us.
“It also reassures our customers that we are compliant and up to date with all developments and changes within the industry.”
EYG’s Sales and Marketing Director John Waugh added: “Dealing with a company that has been in business as long as we have is a major source of comfort for our customers, but now we also have the GGF behind us, this is another reason to have faith and confidence in us as a business.”
The GGF's website, My Glazing, allows customers to browse GGF member companies near them.
The GGF, founded in 1977, promotes the use of the highest industry specifications among its members, advising them on technical support as well as changes in Government regulations within the building industry.
This means that GGF member firms are the first to know of pending industry changes, and receive support for implementing them, such as recent amendments around trickle vents and ventilation requirements due to Government policy on reducing carbon emissions.
GGF’s Group Head of Customer Service, Ben Wallace, said: “All of us at the GGF are delighted to welcome the EYG Group into membership.
“The EYG Group are well known within the glass and glazing industry in both the commercial and domestic sectors for their quality products and installations.
“We are very much looking forward to having a strong working relationship with the EYG Group and working together to drive the industry forward.”
