‘Our new EYG Garden Room is our little cosy retreat – and we absolutely love it!’

When Jillian Cook’s wooden garden summerhouse began to look worse for wear and started to rot, she opted for an EYG Garden Room to provide a new ‘retreat’ for herself and her daughter Becky.
And since it was installed earlier this year, she says they have spent many a happy hour in the ‘cosy’ corner of their garden – enjoying their new space in all weathers.
“We spend a lot of time in our garden room, and even though the weather this year since we had it installed has not been that great. We’ve been happy and cosy in there, as we’ve got a little bar, heating, nice lighting and everything we need.
“Obviously we’re looking forward to using it in the nice weather and summer nights, but even when it has been raining, or windy, we’ve been able to stay outside and enjoy the garden more. It’s a great addition to our home.”
Faultless service for new windows and garden room installations
Jillian, of East Yorkshire, turned to EYG for her garden room having been impressed with the quality of products, and faultless service and installation of new UPVC windows in her dormer bungalow.
She said the Garden Room was initially earmarked to be used as a home office for Becky, but once it was in place and ready, and they saw how welcoming it was, they had a change of heart.
“We both decided to use it as our little retreat,” she said.
“Becky uses a bedroom as her office, and this would be ideal, but we both decided we’d use it as a space to relax in, and we’ve been delighted with it.”
Jillian says she was given helpful advice by the EYG team when visiting the Hull showroom to view Garden Rooms, and she opted for ‘pigeon blue’ side panels with white doors and fascias, and artificial grass on the roof to help it blend into its surroundings.
“It looks great. I’d recommend one to anyone, and also EYG as the fitting was faultless on both the windows and the Garden Room. We’re very happy.”
EYG garden rooms are insulated, and fitted with electrics, heating, and flooring.
The build takes up to two weeks, and they are built on to a concrete base.
Customers then design their own retreat - deciding where to place their windows, and can have bifold, sliding or French doors; we also offer an adjoining storage area which is handy for garden furniture and equipment.
