What did we do?
A detailed design consultation revealed the owner’s desire to keep two angular conservatories and transform them into one versatile living space.
With one conservatory coming off the kitchen and another from the dining room - to leave a void of outside space in between, the decision was taken to remove the sides and connect both structures using bi-fold doors.
Having removed both existing roofs and some of the glazed side panels, new footings had to be excavated and laid to enable a beautiful set of bi-folds to bridge the gap across the front.
With the basic structure in place, attention turned to designing and installing the bespoke Hybrid roof containing six glass panels to let light flood in.
Once completed, the interior ceiling was given a plastered finish, before the decorators and flooring fitters could complete the transformation.
