With our Hardwood windows, you can transform old wooden framed windows to maintain the buildings original look. With the modern performance features of our PVCU windows, our hardwood windows are a popular choice. The timber we use (Sapele) is manufactured to the highest standard which doesn't warp or contain unwanted knots.
All timber is Sapele which is a kiln dried type hardwood from sustainable sources. All frame joints are Mortice and Tenon construction and externally screened. Sashes are storm proofed and hung on friction hinges or storm proof hinges depending on the style of the window. All are fitted with an espagnolette locking system and a locking push button style handle, various colours available. All windows are draft stripped with vessel draft stripping.
The Trident high security window locking system incorporates a hook and mushroom cam at each locking point providing enhanced sealing and exceptional security. When the gearbox is operated the hooks are thrown and travel simultaneously with the cams into their striker.
This new high security window locking technology has been rigorously tested ensuring that the Trident window locking system meets the police preferred specification requirements of Secured By Design and enhanced security requirements of BS 7950.
When compared with traditional shootbolts, the Trident high security window locking system provides hook locking points, similar to those on multipoint door locks, for improved strength and security.
